Working Hours Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
  The position involves an employee of insurance and claims sector for
i.handling of insurance policies of PPA and
ii. handling claims related to port damages and third-party liabilities
 Job responsibilities Insurance policy handling:
Handling of insurance policies, indicatively but not limited to: Port Operator Liability Insurance, Property, Third-party liability, Personnel Group Health etc. 
Claims handling:
The duties include:
a. Investigation of damage incidents, negotiation, settlement, initiation of llitigation, mediation procedures etc
b. Claim filing/ notification processes and documentation according to regulations & relevant legislation
c. Communication with insurance companies in accordance with local and international regulations and maritime law
d.. Registration, monitoring and reporting of all claims
 Job Requirements
Preferred skills
Batchelor degree in Business Administration or Maritime studies or Maritime Law or related fields
Excellent knowledge of English and Greek, essential for both internal and external communication
Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
At least two years of working experience in insurance contract management or claims handling and adjusting in sectors like maritime, shipping, logistics, or industrial operations. Preferred experience working with ports, maritime insurance, or shipping-related insurance claims. Has Handled complex claims for marine, property damage and third-party liabilities. 
Certifications from accredited bodies such as, claims adjuster, mediator, insurance proffesional etc. will be considered an asset
Strong negotiation skills for working with insurers, brokers and claimants
Analytical and detail-oriented thinking for reviewing contracts, policy documents, and claims reports. Ability to analyze damages, assess liabilities, and recommend strategies for minimizing risks. Preparing clear, concise reports for management. Organizational skills, data analytics, claims handling software operator.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse stakeholders (internal teams, insurers, port authorities, etc.).  Team spirit. Liaising with insurance companies, surveyors, legal teams, and stakeholders.
