| Job responsibilities & Required Abilities | Ensures a safe working environment and srict compliance with Health and Safety regulations and other relevant port procedures |
| Preventative, predictive, correctional and emergency maintenance and repair of PPA machinery fleet consisting of QCs, RMGs, E-RTGs, SCs, Terminal Tractors, Jib Cranes, Forklifts, Auxilliary machinery, Vehicles, Buses and other type of port machinery, in order to ensure the safe and high availability of equipment to Operational Depts of PPA | |
| Ensures that the work carried out is of high standards and in accordance with the manuals | |
| Reporting of maintenance and repair actions to the competent supervisor | |
| Ensure good in-house working practices (Time focus, cleanliness, mutual respect, communication, organizing, etc.) | |
| Ensure that the port equipment and the machinery under surveillance of Engineering Dept. are in a state of readiness and well maintained | |
| Job Qualifications | Technical School Certificate, preferably in Mechanical Technician branch |
| Degree in Mechanical Engineering will be considered an asset | |
| Basic knowledge of information technology systems (MS Office / OEM programs) | |
| Basic knowledge of English (spoken/written) in order to communicate, read and understand maintenance & repair manuals | |
| Car driving license, a professional driving license will be considered an asset | |
| Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates) | |
| Experience | Minimum two (2) years of proven experience in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in industrial environment |
| Knowledge Prefered Skills | Good working knowledge of maintenance practices, use of diagnostic tools and equipment is required |
| Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and technical drawings | |
| Good working knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment use | |
| Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail | |
| Extensive knowledge of general safety, health and environmental issues as well as be familiar with working at height | |
| Good understanding of engineering drawings and principles, practical and technical skills in both electrical and mechanical works like PLC, drives, inverters, engines overhauling, transmissions overhauling, hydraulics & pneumatics systems, hydraulic cylinder and wheel hub repairing etc. on heavy machinery and equipment will be considered an asset |
