Engineering Department – Mechanical Technician Cranes

Working Hours Rotating Shifts (ROSTER)
 Job responsibilities & Required Abilities Preventative, predictive, correctional and emergency maintenance and repair of PPA machinery fleet consisting of QCs, RMGs, E-RTGs, Jib Cranes, Auxilliary machinery, in order to ensure the safe and high availability of equipment to Operational Depts of PPA
Ensures that the port equipment and the machinery under surveillance of Engineering Dept. are in a state of readiness and well maintained
Ensures a safe working environment and srict compliance with Health and Safety regulations and other relevant port procedures
Seeks out best practices, identify causes of problems, propose solutions and implement corrective actions in limited time frames
Ensures that the work carried out is of high standards and in accordance with the manuals
Assessment of situations and preventive action to limit potential risks/dangers at work
Ensures good in-house working practices (Time focus, cleanliness, mutual respect, communication, organizing, etc.)
Reporting of maintenance and repair actions to the competent supervisor
Fully committing to the job, customer focused (internal and external customers)
Team focused in order to achieve maximum performance, utilizing all available resources
Job Qualifications Mechanical  working license / certifications acknowledged in Greece
Technical School Certificate, preferably in Mechanical Technician branch
Degree in Mechanical Engineering will be considered an asset
Basic knowledge of information technology systems (MS Office / Autocad / ERP system) 
Basic knowledge of English (spoken/written) in order to communicate, read and understand maintenance & repair manuals
Car driving license, a professional driving license will be considered an asset
Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
Experience At least three (3) years of proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment or in industrial environment
Knowledge
Prefered Skills
Good working knowledge of maintenance practices
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components, hydraulics systems
Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and mechanical drawings, schematics, and hydraulics diagrams
Working experience on heavy port machinery and equipment will be considered an asset
Extensive knowledge of general safety, health and environmental issues as well as be familiar with working at height
Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
