Location PPA S.A. facilities (excluding the Ship Repair Zone) – Port of Piraeus
 Job description & responsibilities Piraeus Port Authority S.A. is establishing and staffing an additional Safety Engineer position within the Health & Safety Sector, aiming to strengthen the organizational structure and address increased demands in high-risk facilities with complex operational activities. The role is intended to ensure a systematic on-site presence in operational areas, increase the frequency of inspections, and optimize the monitoring of findings and corrective actions, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of Health & Safety standards. The scope of activity may extend to all facilities under the responsibility of PPA S.A., excluding the Ship Repair Zone, which operates under a distinct organizational structure.
Perform Safety Engineer duties in compliance with applicable Greek legislation (Law 3850/2010)
Ensure daily presence and conduct inspections across port operational areas
Preparation of inspection reports and recommendations for improvement
Monitoring the implementation of preventive and corrective measures
Participation in the investigation of occupational accidents and incidents
Monitoring safety indicators and statistical data analysis
Cooperation with relevant departments, contractors and Management
Support of the Occupational Health & Safety management system
 Job Requirements
Preferred skills
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
Professional license from the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE)
Registration in the Safety Engineers Registry of the Labour Inspectorate (SEPE)
At least five (5) years of professional experience in industrial facilities
Previous experience in port facilities will be considered an asset
Excellent command of the English language
Very good command of MS Office 
Experience in high-risk industrial facilities will be considered an asset
Familiarity with continuous operational environments
Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018) will be considered an asset
