The Board of PPA SA approved the project for facility maintenance of a budget of 922.000 Euros (VAT included). The project will be assigned after open contest and will mainly be concerned with aesthetic upgrade projects and repairs to the port.
As is known, the facilities of PPA SA are expanded through quays of 37.7 km with huge land areas of buildings and machinery. The works will involve interventions in 2013 and 2014.
Already the aesthetic and utilitarian upgrade has begun for the facilities at the port, with new color schemes, instructive signs on all gates with modern symbols, expansion of the greenery through 1000 new plants, colors of the platforms and new markings for the traffic of cars and pedestrians.
Finally, the Board PPA SA endorsed the results of an international open tender:
(A) To supply 18 new forklifts,
(B) The practical technical evaluation for the lease-purchase of five used buses of urban type
(C) The re-tender for the sale and removal of the vessel "Jet Ferry 1", which has been deemed dangerous and harmful, with an extra 30% discount of the price of the previous contest.
