After consultation with the supervising Ministry of Marine and Aegean and the HRDF, PPA SA asked PCT SA for a prolongation of negotiations until 29/08/2013.
As is known, after co-signing the MoU on 06.26.2013, there were found legal, technical and economic issues that required additional documentation and clarification of positions on questions of the European Commission. The aim of both sides is to reach an agreement on the construction of the west Pier III with full legal certainty and protection of mutual interests of PPA and PCT. The strategic goal of both sides is to make the Container Terminal and Port of Piraeus a main hub for shipping and port market.
