The European project "SUPPORT" will conduct a full-scale demonstration to be held in two representative EU ports (Gothenburg, Piraeus). The full-scale demonstrations will be evaluated by members of the European Forum for port security. As the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr George Anomeritis, commented: "The port of Piraeus is one of the safest harbors in Europe. Because of the Olympic Games, it has been subdivided into seven areas and it has already advanced technological systems. It employs 110 persons as security staff and cooperates with private companies, apart from the special forces of the Coast Guard. The security and safety systems not only cover the cruise areas but, in cooperation with PCT SA, the entire container port as well. With the use of the program "SUPPORT", we will not only increase the efficient and safe operation of the port of Piraeus, but as shown by the workshop, we will offer services to other ports as well. "
