A thematic meeting about the policies of cruise in 2013 with an emphasis on organizing Homeporting is held by PPA SA on the 17th of October 2012, with participants exclusively comprising of companies and organizations involved in cruise tourism. The text of the invitation that was sent is as follows:
"The Piraeus Port Authority SA invites you to attend the second thematic meeting of cruise bodies on Wednesday, October 17th, at 10:30 in the Conference Room of PPA SA, Miaoulis Coast 10, Piraeus. The main topic of the meeting will be the policies of Cruise 2013 with a special issue being Homeporting requirements and implementation.
• The opening speech will be made by the Minister of Marine and the Aegean Mr. Kostis Mousouroulis.
• A further contribution about the policies of Cruise 2013 will be done by the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr. George Anomeritis.
• The thematic meeting will be attended by representatives of companies and cruise institutions, cruise ports, ELIME (Hellenic Ports Association) and MedCruise ".
