Press Release
The Board of PPA SA has decided to expand the Western Pier of Port E in Perama with new projects, in order to operate fully as a yacht marina.
This project is based on the agreement of the Municipality of Perama and the Administration of PPA SA, for the widening of the existing land areas of the South Pier, with a length of 180 meters and the construction of a ramp to serve the Navy Sports Club.
The cost of the project will amount to 245.000 Euros (without VAT, unforeseen costs and review) and will be covered entirely by PPA SA. For the project to take place, it requires a joint ministerial decision from the Ministries of Finance and Shipping, because the project includes silting. Simultaneously, PPA SA has already initiated the process of divestment of all non-fishing or touristic vessels that are abandoned in the marina.
This project and its funding is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of PPA SA towards the seaside municipalities in the wider port area.
