On the 24th & 25th of January 2013, MedCruise (Mediterranean Cruise Ports) will hold a two-day work meeting concerning cruise issues at Heraklion, Crete.
PPA SA being the largest cruise port in Greece and basically the only home port, while being also a port that provides additional services to ships, thus supporting the development of the other cruise ports, will participate with the General Director of PPA SA and President of MedCruise, Mr. Stavros Hatzakos and the Director of Passenger Service & Property Management, Mr. Theodoros Tsitouras.
For the meeting the following representatives from ports have been invited and will participate:

6. French Riviera

7. Heraklion
8. Koper
9. Livorno
10. Odessa
11. Palma
12. Piraeus
13. Sete
14. Souda Chania
15. Venice 

Moreover representatives of the cruise industry and distinguished speakers from major international cruise companies, representing the Cruise Ship-owners Association (ECC / CLIA), will participate. At this meeting the comparative study that has been completed by MedCruise concerning port charges and port practices on the reception and programming of docking cruise ships, waste policy and passenger rights will also be presented.
The aim of the conference is to enhance communication between the cruise lines and ports in order to achieve a common approach where possible and to meet the challenges and needs of each party.
