An increase of 24.69% was recorded in the arrival-departures of tourists at the port of PPA SA, during the first quarter of 2013, compared to the same quarter of 2012.

As announced by the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr. George Anomeritis, when speaking at the press conference of the Sea Tourism Forum Posidonia: “This year will be a good year for the cruise market, as we had predicted. Already the initial data of the winter season show that home-porting passengers have increased by 22.05% and transit passengers have increased by 24.94%. Along with the new passenger service infrastructure, the implementing of standardized ISO quality, ISPS security and aesthetic upgrading of premises, the cruise port of Piraeus is gradually becoming the most modern cruise ship port servicing the Eastern Mediterranean.”
