The presidents and executives of the companies Lloyd's and Bureau Veritas granted the certificates of international standards, EN ISO 9001:2008 and EN ISO 14001:2004, to PPA SA during the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum.
The granting of the above certification titles for Cruise, was met with full satisfaction by the cruise market concerning the quality and environmentally friendly policies pursued by the PPA.
As the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr. George Anomeritis, speaking at the award ceremony for the need to implement the new Quality Policy, noted: “The PPA S.A., which since 2011 has been recognized as an ECOPORT from ESPO with certification by Lloyd's, is taking another step to an effective Quality Policy incorporating the services of the cruise sector with the international ISO standards. Employees and executives of the PPA, customers and society, suppliers and passengers are encouraged to follow the visions and goals of the PPA for a Port of Quality and Environment in all their daily services. The administration of PPA SA will provide full support to all for the implementation and continuous improvement of the system. The Port of Piraeus is not only a major port, but also a port of safety, quality services and environmentally friendly actions.
