Once again Piraeus Port welcomed today, 12/9/2013, seven (7) cruise ship arrivals, reaching a new record of more than 18.400 cruise passengers. The seven ships are:
(a) Pacific Princess, 181 meters, 770 passengers plus crew
(b) Legend of the Seas, 265 meters, 2.076 passengers plus crew
(c) Carnival Sunshine, 273 meters, 3.006 passengers plus crew
(d) MSC Fantasia, 333 meters, 3.900 passengers plus crew
(e) Costa Romantica, 219 meters, 1.600 passengers plus crew
(f) Royal Princess, 330 meters, 3.600 passengers plus crew
(g) Costa Magica, 271m., 3.450 passengers plus crew,
among which two are third generation ships and longer than 300m.
The new "historic high" of passenger traffic in the first port of the country, vindicates the efforts of the administration of PPA SA in new investment and service quality (ISO), safety (new ISPS) and infrastructure (new station “Themistocles”), and shows the continued upward trend of the cruise sector in September as well.
