On the subject of concerns about downloading 120 containers in the port of Piraeus, the following is made clear:
1. The 120 sealed containers arrived by the ship MSC PARIS JR from Thessaloniki, to be uploaded on the ship MSC RAVENNA going to the port DALIAN, China.
2. At the land area of the Container Terminal Pier I, both during their stay, and while they were being uploaded, no remarks were filed by the agencies and authorities.
3. The Liquid leaks on the bilge of the ship by 3 boxes happened inside the ship.
4. The captain of the ship called for the cleaning of the bilge, carried by the ship's company from a specialist marine environmental management company, having previously downloaded conventional cargo containers from the next hold.
5. The ship, after cleaning the bilge, sailed (12/12/2013) for its destination.
6. The containers were labeled IMO Class 9 as loads of special treatment and not as dangerous loads, with which designation they were landed and trans-shipped (transit).
