Press Release

1. The PPA S.A. participated in the 9th meeting of experts of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations (UNECE) in Geneva, with representative the Investor Relations Officer Mr. Nektarios Demenopoulos. The main topic of the meeting was the development of Euro-Asian transport links and trade relations in Asia -Europe (EATL).
The Greek side presented its views to the plenary, since the PPA is considered a key port for the development of Euro-Asian relations. The plenary highlighted the positive outlook for the next 10 years of these relations and underlined the boost of intermodal transport provided by the agreement between PPA and OSE on the railway linking the port with European networks. As is known, the sea side railroad station for car transportation (car-terminal) has been completed, which in April will start working with the cooperation of TRAINOSE and car-handling companies.

2. PPA SA was visited by the CEO of the Port of Venice, Dr. Roberto Perocchio, who held talks with the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr. George Anomeritis and the President of Med Cruise and General Director of PPA SA, Mr. Stavros Hatzakos.
Both sides discussed and agreed on cruise policies that they will develop in the coming years, taking into consideration the great problem that has arisen with the cruise port facilities due to the size of cruise ships in the port of Venice. As is known the Italian ports as Port Authorities belong to the Italian public sector, while their activities are developed through concessions. The decision to remove large ships from the docks of the city to new port facilities was, after suggestions by the Region, a decision of the Italian government.
