A Workshop on the presentation of the products of the European Project SUPPORT will be organized on Thursday, February 20th, from 9:30 until 16:30 at the main hall of PPA SA.
As it is known PPA SA has been actively participating in the program SUPPORT since 2010, along with 17 other ports in countries such as the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Ireland, Cyprus, France, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Latvia and Austria.
The aim of SUPPORT (Security UPgrade for PORTs) is to upgrade security systems at ports through new optical, digital and organizational patterns. It aims to support users in port security in accordance with international regulations and standards.
The Workshop will present all new products, which have been elaborated by the program and which have already started to become applications in ports.
As the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr. George Anomeritis, commented: “The PPA is one of the safest ports in the world. Since 2010 it has developed a modern and upgraded security environment, which organizationally, functionally, electronically, assisted by skilled manpower and within the ISPS system, makes it extremely sophisticated. The PPA is certified annually by audit European institutions, which until recently have noticed the absence of serious events for auditing”.
