The newest cruise ship in the world and also one of the largest, the "Regal Princess" will be welcomed at the PPA on Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 during its first visit to the port of Piraeus. The newly-built cruise ship (May 2014) built in Italy, has a length of 330m, 1.350 crew members, weighs 142.714 tons and has 18 decks that can accommodate 3.560 passengers in 1.780 cabins.
The master capt. Edward Perrin will welcome members of the PPA, while the President and CEO, Mr. George Anomeritis, will present a special commemorative plaque and books for the on-board library, during its next visit on 23rd June 2014, when the official on-board ceremony will take place. The ship started its maiden voyage on May 16th after its naming and continues its journey to the Greek islands.
