New important agreement to cruise from PPA S.A.

During Seatrade Miami and after months of negotiations, the PPA agreed with the CARNIVAL CRUISE, as its ship CARNIVAL VISTA using from spring 2016 Piraeus as the port of arrival and departure of its itinerary during its travels in the Mediterranean. This ship, newly built (2014), length 321 m., 133.500 gt and transport 4,000 passengers and 1,500 crew members, is one of the ships attracted under the new PPA cruise policy and enables the development of home-porting to a new - large number - base.
The PPA participates in Miami Seatrade, the biggest annual cruise exhibition in the world, along with Greek National Tourism Organization and Hellenic Ports Association, having booth and continued involvement and interventions in the Cruise Conference. On behalf of PPA participating General Director and Honorary President of Medcruise Mr. Stavros Hatzakos and Cruise Director Mr. Theodoros Tsitouras, who met with all the major companies in the world, so their ships to plan new arrivals in Piraeus.
After the PPA strategy turn in 2010 to empower the cruise policies by creating new infrastructures, the PPA, developing maximum effort in the port diplomacy area, participates in all international events to strengthen its prestige as an international port and cruise hub.
It is noted, finally, that on May 18 will dock at the Piraeus port the largest cruise ship in the Mediterranean and third in the world "Quantum of the Seas", Royal Caribbean's length 347 m., 168.666 gt, 4.906 passengers and 1,500 crew members.
