One of the largest and most luxurious cruise ships in the world that sailed into the port of Piraeus, the "Ovation of the Seas" welcomed the PPA Management presence of the Secretary General of Greek National Tourism Organisation Mr. Dimitris Trifonopoulos, representative of Royal Caribbean in Greece Mr. Andreas Stylianopoulos and other cruise stakeholders.
The newly built cruise ship (April 2016) weighs 168,000 tons, has a capacity of 4,180 passengers and 2,091 rooms, is equipped with the most modern and innovative in the field of technology and entertainment and cost over $ 1 billion in its construction.
During the formal ceremony PPA General Manager Mr. Stavros Hatzakos handed to the master Cpt. Henrik Loy honorary plaque and gifts (books), noting that the largest cruise port in the eastern Mediterranean cruise is modern, safe and upgraded its infrastructure and after the recent refurbishment of offices and equipment can accommodate ships like this and to provide quality services in accordance with international ISO standards, as recently re-certified by Lloyd's.
