PPA S.A. donation of sanitary material to the surrounding Municipalities
The PPA S.A. took the initiative for the donation of protective masks and antiseptics to the local authorities and specifically to the surrounding Municipalities of the port, namely Piraeus, Keratsini - Drapetsona, Salamis and Perama.
The delivery of the sanitary material took place today by the CEO of PPA S.A. Captain FU Chengqiu, the Deputy CEO of PPA S.A. Mr. Angelos Karakostas and the Member of the BoD of PPA S.A. & Management Consultant Mr. Athanasios Liagkos. On behalf of the Municipalities presented: Mr. Grigoris Kapsokolis, Deputy Mayor of Piraeus, Mr. Georgios Panagopoulos, Mayor of Salamis and Mr. Giannis Lagoudakis, Mayor of Perama. A total of 80,000 masks and 288 bottles of antiseptic were offered.
Today's donation is part of a series of acts implemented by the Piraeus Port Authority in collaboration with COSCO SHIPPING Group, in order to face the pandemic in Greece and protect the public health.
As the Deputy CEO of PPA S.A. Mr. Angelos Karakostas stated:
“At this difficult time, the Piraeus Port Authority and COSCO SHIPPING are supporting the important work of the local authorities and by offering sanitary material we join our forces with the efforts of the surrounding Municipalities. The Port of Piraeus continues to operate, taking all the necessary measures in order the supply of the market to continue uninterrupted. PPA S.A. is planning in the near future more actions to face the pandemic and generally actions to support the local communities”.
