The Annual General Assembly of the PPA SA shareholders took place on Wednesday, June 28th 2017 with a quorum of 85, 56% and main issues the Approval of the Annual Financial Statements and the Dividend Distribution for the financial year 2016 which, as the Board of Directors proposed, amounts to € 0.0892 per share.  

The present and the future of the shipbuilding industry in Greece towards LNG as fuel era, was the focus of the discussion organised by Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) within the framework of the European co-funded project Poseidon Med II. The event, which took place today at the Conference Hall of PPA, gathered representatives from Hellenic shipyards, project partners and delegates from the marine sector.

Piraeus Port Authority S.A. is pleased to announce the extensive repair of the Perama floating dock “Piraeus I” is being completed today, June 22nd. Upon its completion, all four existing docks are in full operation after the extensive maintenance works and all relevant permissions and certifications acquired by the responsible organization Hellenic Register of Shipping.

An important Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today, June 12th 2017, between PPA SA and Shanghai International Port Group, the biggest commercial port of the world. The MOU was signed by Mr. Athanasios Liagkos Executive Management Consultant & member of the PPA SA Board of Directors and the Chairman of Shanghai International Port Group, Mr. Chen Xuyuan.

In the presence of the CEO of PPA S.A. Capt. Fu Chengqiu held the annual briefing to the members of the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association in the offices of the Athens Exchange, on the PPA S.A. financial results for the year 2016, by Mr. Athanasios Liagkos, member of the Board of Directors and Management Consultant.

The management of PPA S.A. welcomed today one more newly-built and new - generation cruise ship (300m), during its first visit to Piraeus. This is “Mein Schiff 5” of TUI Cruises, which in this summer will make trips from Piraeus.

An official visit was made by Mr. Liu Qibao, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, at the headquarters of the Piraeus Port Authority.

The PPA S.A. Management headed by its CEO Cpt. Fu Chengqiu with the CEO of Celestyal Cruises Mr. Kyriakos Anastasiadis, welcomed the first group of 250 Chinese tourists at a special event on the Celestyal Olympia cruise ship just before beginning a cruise trip from Piraeus to the Greek islands.

A cooperation meeting between the Ambassador of Kenya Tom Amolo and the Management of the PPA, held today Wednesday 12.04.2017 at the headquarters of the Company.

The leadership of the Association of Passenger Shipping Companies (SEEN) headed by the President Michalis Sakellis visited the headquarters of PPA and had an initial and cooperation meeting with the CEO Capt. Fu and executives of the new Management and the Strategic Planning and Marketing Department.
