One more important strategic partnership was founded with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, September 12th 2018, between PPA S.A. and Guangzhou Port which is one of the 10 largest commercial ports in the world.

The reaction of PPA S.A. services to the fire broke out on the ship "Eleftherios Venizelos" was prompt and effective the early hours of Wednesday, 29th August 2018. More specifically, the competent services of PPA, as soon as they were informed of the incident, provided:

  PPA S.A. participates in the national mourning for the devastating fire that hit the area of Attica and cost life of an undefined up to now number of our fellow citizens.  

An important strategic cooperation was founded with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 23 July 2018 between PPA S.A. and Qingdao Port Group.

On July 19, 2018, PPA SA organizes an event on Marine Surveillance in the Mediterranean which will take place at PPA, 10 Akti Miaouli, PI 18538, Piraeus. The event is a key activity within the Interreg MED project "PROmoting security and safeTy by crEating a MED clUster on Maritime Surveillance" (PROteuS).

The Annual General Assembly of the PPA S.A. shareholders took place today Friday, June 22nd 2018 with a quorum of 84.06 % and main issues the Approval of the Annual Financial Statements and the Dividend Distribution for the financial year 2017 which, as the Board of Directors proposed, amounts to € 0.1712 per share, compared to € 0.0892 of the previous year.

The basketball team of PPA S.A. - COSCO SHIPPING, just after the third year of its establishment, had an important achievement after winning the 1st place in its division at the EKA "NIKOS GALIS" employees Championship for the period 2017 - 2018.

Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA) awarded double certification against ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 by Lloyd’s Register (LR). At a ceremony today held during international shipping exhibition Posidonia, Capt. Weng Lin, PPA Deputy CEO, was presented with certifications against ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO14001:2015 for Environmental Management by Mr Nick Brown, LR Marine & Offshore Director. The double certification demonstrates the company’s commitment to best practice for quality, environmental management and pollution prevention.

PPA S.A. participates with its own booth (Stand 3201), in the greatest maritime event of the world, Posidonia exhibition, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary, surpassing any previously participations record.

The annual briefing to the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association for the results of PPA S.A. for the year 2017 took place at the Athens Stock Exchange, in the presence of the CEO of PPA S.A. Captain Fu Chengqiu, Mr. Angelos Karakostas, Deputy CEO, Mr. Athanasios Liagkos, Member of the Board of Directors and Management Consultant, Mr. Tian Chao, General Manager - Financial Dept. and other executives of the company.
