On the subject of the Concession of PPA SA with the "Duty Free Shops" in areas of the Passenger station, the following were announced by PPA SA:
The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change issued the approval of environmental terms for the expansion of the southern cruise port of PPA SA.This issue was the subject of statements made by the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Mr. Yiannis Maniatis.
Once again Piraeus Port welcomed today, 12/9/2013, seven (7) cruise ship arrivals, reaching a new record of more than 18.400 cruise passengers. The seven ships are:
The Council Directorate of PPA SA approved:A. The maintenance and repair of the dry-docks at the Central port in order to continue to operate until full integration into the Cultural Coast of Piraeus, with additional environmental requirements.
In order to enlarge the container terminal of the commercial port of Piraeus, the administrations of PPA SA and SEP SA co-formulated a practical procedures amicable settlement, which will be shown to the Boards of Directors of both companies the week after next.
The decisions were issued by the General Secretariat of Public Works of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks for the payment to PPA SA of the Community participation of around 10 million euros for projects executed by PPA SA at the Central Port and the container terminal at N. Ikonio.
A Concession Contract for Duty Free Shops, in the buildings of the international terminal of cruise passengers of the Port of Piraeus, was signed today by the PPA and the company “HELLENIC DUTY FREE SHOPS SA”.
The Board of Directors of PPA SA, in the context of corporate social responsibility, has decided:(a) To give a grant of €100.000 for the function of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, whose renovation has already been completed by the Region of Attica, and which will operate under the responsibility of the municipality.
The Board of Directors of PPA SA approved the award of the work of installing a photovoltaic park in the Commercial Port of Piraeus of 430 kwp and a length of 1.080m by the company KGS Development SA.
A meeting of a 15-member delegation of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection of the European Parliament (IMCO) was held at the Headquarters of PPA SA.
