Another environmental distinction was awarded to PPA SA and to 5 other Mediterranean Ports (Valencia, Algeciras, Marseille, Livorno and Koper) for active participation in the Program CLIMEPORT PROJECT, for the cooperation in the Mediterranean to face the consequences of climate change. 
At the request of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, the Board of PPA SA approved the registration as additional items in the General Assembly Agenda of the Organization, which will be held on 06.28.2013, the following two issues:
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA SA) and the Port Authority of Alexandria Egypt, was signed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the official visit of the Foreign Minister of Egypt to Greece.

The President of the Hellenic Ports Association (Elime) Mr. George Anomeritis participated as an invited keynote speaker, at the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum, in a special session on port investments to develop the cruise industry. 
A modern international passenger station, to serve cruise passengers (Cruise Terminal), was acquired and put into operation by PPA SA.The opening of the station, which was named International Cruise Station "Themistocles", was conducted by the Minister of Marine and Aegean Mr. Konstantinos Mousouroulis
On Monday, May 27th 2013 at 12:30, the new International Foreign Passenger Terminal outside of PPA SA will be launched, which was constructed by expenditure of the Company in the area of Palataki, in order to serve the passengers of new generation cruise vessels (over 350m), which up until now docked in the area of Themistocles coast.
The annual briefing to the members of the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association in the offices of the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) was held today by the management of PPA SA.
