The good performance of PPA SA was continued with a significant increase in the movement of goods in the Container and Car terminals, as shown by the provisional data of the period January-August 2012 by the competent departments.

An increase of 54.9% in container handling was noted during the first 5 months of 2012 at the PPA SA Container Terminal. As is apparent from the data from the Container Terminal, 293.874 TEUs were handled during January - May 2012 in comparison to 189.706 in the corresponding period last year.

The General Meeting of Shareholders of the Piraeus Port Authority (PPA SA) ended with the approval of the Results of the Annual Financial Report 2011.

The master, Vincenzo Alcaras, and the officers of the new cruise vessel, CARNIVAL BREEZE, which arrived at the port of Piraeus as the first stop of its maiden voyage, were visited by the President and CEO of PPA SA George Anomeritis, President of MedCruise, Stavros Hatzakos, and the managerial cruise executives Mr. T.
